Reading Comprehension is one of the important strands in English Studies. At JSS 1 level, your goal is to build core vocabulary, mental models and confidence. Build confident listening, speaking, reading and writing for school and everyday communication.
How to learn this well
- Identify the important words, symbols, people, processes or rules connected to the topic.
- Explain each idea in your own words before memorising details.
- Connect the idea to a familiar example, diagram, text, event or problem.
- Check your understanding by answering without looking back at the notes.
